[restrict_ip] Restrict IP

What is the status of the D8 port? We need to implement IP restriction on a project we are starting to work on. If the port is no near to completion we can write a port ourselves.

As D8 in core has module ban with almost the same functionality I don't know if this port really needed, so now I'm thinking about the
expediency of porting of this module.

I'm the maintainer for this module. The functionality in the core Ban module is not the same as this module - the core ban module allows for IP addresses to be banned. This module allows for IP addresses to be whitelisted.

As far as a D8 port is concerned - I'm slowly working on migrating the modules i'm maintaining to D8. I just finally cleaned up the issue queue for the D7 version of this module, so hopefully in a month or two I'll have a D8 port created for this module.

If anyone wants to finance the port of this module, I will expedite the port. Otherwise you'll need to wait on my time/motivation.
