If you activate "show row weights" in the context configuration, it also enables it in the manage fields/displays configuration area. Did cause confusion when I lost the ability to drag to reorder fields in the display configuration area for content types.

The show row weights/hide row weights functionality is part of Drupal's core functionality and is intended to work this way so that users who are unable to use the dragging functionality for ordering don't need to continuously disable it.
