DDEV is the official local development tool of Drupal. And like Drupal, DDEV depends on the support of the open source community.Super simple module to automatically fill out a contact message subject if none was set. This is useful in cases where the subject field has been hidden from the contact form display, or it's been made optional and the user sending the message didn't fill it out.
This is intended to prevent email services from grouping all emails from the same contact form into a single thread despite the senders being different. When these unrelated messages are grouped into a single thread, it's both more difficult to differentiate them when you get messages, and makes it more difficult to mark individual messages as spam as it can mark the whole (unrelated) thread as spam.
