It would be interesting to have a means of payment default, such as cash.

If you enable commerce_pos_payment there should be some default payments set up.

By moving to the payment screen you have to give cash to the button with the mouse so you can continue with the payment. To avoid steps that would be interesting to come out automatically pressed the button of cash.

@kovaski yeah that makes sense. It shouldn't be too difficult to put a setting somewhere for the default payment method. I believe there's already a function we can call to get a list of all the payment methods, so we can just chuck it onto one of the existing settings pages.

Uploaded a patch that provides a setting in Terminal (not sure if this is the best place for it) to set the default payment.

Overall patch works as expected, couple notes.

  • We should probably have the option to default to "none" so that the payment option always has to be selected.
  • If you remove the payment option you have as the default, you will get a drupal error, it should probably just fall back to "none" when this happens instead of an Undefined Index error
