MAnage display on new content type showing fields which havent been added to that content type

I have a strange problem that has just arisen. I have created a new content type for a product, and then added some fields to said product. The problem is, when I go to manage display and the full display and other sections, I can see many fields from other content types which have not been selected for this content type. As a matter of fact, these fields are not available at all on the manage fields selections, these fields are only apparent on the manage display section,. I have cleaed my cache, drush cleared cache for the site, and tried deleting and recreating the content type.
