Please consider adding Content Types checkboxes (e.g.: as done in taxonomy configuration) so that
the country info can be displayed on selected content types only.

i hadn't thought of that-- but I like the idea. Need to finish the d7 version first, but i'll definitely add this to the to do list.

There is a d7 version now, but this can actually be done by theming (just don't use the module's append option, and add the desired variables to the node.tpl.php, or custom node-type.tpl.php, file as desired) without complicating the module's configuration settings.
