Regardless of how I set the options for field_session_rooms on the schedule item content type, only a select list is shown. Is this set with strongarm somewhere? I would like to schedule 'Lunch' across all rooms. I've also tried installing beta 2 and reverting all features as well as a clean install.

I am having the same problem. The wrong widget is displaying - a select list that does not allow for multiple selection rather than checkboxes.

I found a solution:

Edit the Schedule Item content type. Under Scheduling Settings:

Can content of this type share time slots with other scheduled content?

Set to 'No, content of this type overrides room availability and occupies entire time slot'

Now the widget displays checkboxes and the Schedule Item spans multiple rooms.
