I'm trying build a view using normal fields combined with CCK text fields but the output doesn't look good since the CCK fields seem to be adding an html p tag to the output thus creating a look of being double spaced from the other fields. How can I lose the p tag to make the output appear closer together?

  <div class="views-field-created">
                <span class="field-content"><em>3 days 2 hours</em> ago</span>

  </div>

  <div class="views-field-field--article-text-title-value">
                <span class="field-content"><p>McCamey Leads #25/24 Illinois Past Wisconsin, 64-57</p>

Thanks

The p tag is added by core's linebreak filter, not CCK.

How do I resolve this? The reason I suspected only cck was that all other fields that weren't cck fields didn't create the linebreak.

I'd also appreciate a fix. The workaround that I use is to change the CCK field input format to PHP, where the linebreaks aren't interpreted as paragraphs.
