When a field is added to a fieldgroup, there is no way (at least, I didn't find any one) to reconfigure it, because it is not listed anymore...

So, I cannot move a field from a group to another, or change field position (weight), and so on...

Need more information on your setup. This works fine for most people. Enable the content_copy module and export the content type that is creating the problem and paste the export in this issue so we can see how you have things configured.
