Invalid Code

Getting these errors on the home page:

I looked at the offending code:

function date_field($op, $node, &$field, &$node_field, $teaser, $page) {
  switch ($op) {
    case 'view':
      foreach ($items as $delta => $item) {
[...]

Now, I know nothing about CCK, but I think this is invalid PHP on its face. You're trying iterate $items, but I don't see how it could have a value. It's (1) not passed it, (2) not created in the function above where it's referenced, and (3) not referenced as "global".
