I need my Dec 2008 event calendar to appear in the middle of the content of another node (Book type edited with CCK). If I create my calendar view, Dec2008, to have only the content on it that I want, the view still defaults to displaying the current month unless I add the "/2008/12" to the URL. I don't really care about this as it's own page, so that doesn't really matter, except when trying to use it as a block. If I call it into my page as a block it shows the current month. I don't see any way to force it to show December's calendar. I also can't seem to position it where I want on the page (regardless of the weight it shows up at the bottom of the content section - I need it in the middle).

So instead, I'm using CCK Node Reference, but I can't figure out how to configure it. When I use the node reference and set the content field type to use my Dec2008 view, it allows me to select one of the event nodes for December to display on the Book node. What I need it to do is let me select the entire month view (what I see at mydomain.com/2008/12) instead of one entry from that view.

Can anyone give me some guidance? I don't care how it's done, if someone has a better way of incorporating it into the book page...

I'm no longer updating the 5.1 version, I'm focusing all my effort at getting version 2 to a final release ASAP so it can become the official supported version. All new features, bug fixes, etc. are going into 5.2 (for Drupal 5) and 6.2 (for Drupal 6). If you have a working installation of 5.1, wait for a final release of 5.2. If you are having problems in 5.1, try the 5.2 version and help me get it polished.

Having more control over the default view is already a feature request and on the todo list for 5.2 and 6.2.
