Add compatibility to this feature in drupal core https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/2904754 since bootstrap theme extend the ajax function. So applying the drupal core a patch won't work.

I think that until that core issue has been resolved and changes committed there, that this theme should not commit this. However, I will watch that issue to see if it gets committed.
