Subman Billwerk Subscriptions

Integrates Drupal with the SaaS billwerk, a subscription management service, building on top of the BillwerkAPI and the subman module

Status Summer 2022 (by danielnolde):
An initial work-in-progress state of dev version has been committed to a 1.0.x git branch.
An official first release is depending on interest in and usage of the module.

Status Spring 2024: (by DROWL.de):
DROWL.de started refactoring Subman and Subman Billwerk Subscriptions modules on customer behalf. But finally we decided to revert the refactorings and create a Billwerk-focused and therefore more straightforward module: Billwerk Subscriptions
There were many (also customer-specific) reasons for this decision, but also the subman abstraction and Billwerk specifics made refactoring hard without clear benefits, as there are no other active Subman submodules. Also, there doesn't seem to be any other maintainer's activity. See issue history for details.

When to use this

This module is useful, if you want to manage Master Data and subscriptions outside of Drupal at the specialized Billwerk Platform.

When not to use this

If you already use Drupal Commerce and want to manage the subscriptions in Drupal or if Billwerk doesn't fit your needs.
But be careful, subscription handling is complex and required a lot of other relevant business processes. Remember my words ;)
