Entity translation module (7.x-1.0-beta2 and 7.x-1.0-beta3) requires a path scheme be defined (or initialized) in order to provide translation capabilities. Without the path scheme, enabling block entity translation within the entity translation config creates a warnings and a notice on the admin end (see attachment). On the user end, it throws an exception, no longer making the pages renderable.

This happens in bean version 7.x-1.4+.
