Patch against 1.x (thus needs work), but looks like 6.x-3.x is the same/similar. Looked quickly at 7.x and didn't see it.

Stuff like whether a user has voted is stored in the $node object, but doesn't really need to be there, and becomes outdated when user has re-voted (would need completely refresh the node_load cache for that node to refresh, ew). Having handy helper functions for this info seems better.

Since cancel_vote == (bool) voted, combined them together.

D6 is EOL hence this issue won't be fixed (or) attended. So closing it.
