I think it is awesome that by default there are now blocks for Google Custom Search available in the module, so I am making this suggestion. I believe it would make the module much stronger out of the box for those looking to publish Adsense ads on their Drupal sites.

I happened to reread the Adsense guidelines the other day when I logged in, and it seems you can now have 3 text and graphic ad widgets on your site, along with 3 text link widgets at the same time. When did that start? I wasn't sure if you knew that, because I didn't and I have been running Adsense for a long time, heh. It would probably be a good idea to add this as a feature to the module, as I am sure many other Drupalers running Adsense overlooked this as I did.

I guess the easiest solution would be to make 3 more default blocks and just have the current 3 be specified for Text and Graphic Ads. Then the 3 new ones for Link Ads.

Just a suggestion, as since I found this out I have been adding some more ads to my sites, but I have to create a custom block for each new ad since there are only 3 default blocks provided by the module.

Cheers,

Jason

If you look at the _adsense_can_insert_another() function you will see that since February 3 2008, the module allows 3 normal ads, 3 link ads and 2 search boxes in the same page. That's before the first release of the module for Drupal 6.
