This happens to me every now and then. The menu items immediately reappear when you hover over them: so if you sweep the mouse across the the menu, all of the items will reappear.

I am using the jQuery Update module with jQuery 1.7 and have the Bootstrap Theme installed as well (if that info helps).

I've not seen this at all, if you can provide steps to reproduce please re-open the issue and give directions on how we can reproduce it.

I often have the same issue but unfortunately it comes up without any reason... I promise that I'll check my console and HTML code the next time it happens.
It occurs not only with Bootstrap-based themes.
