Which exact version of Opera? And on which platform? And which version of Administration menu do you have installed? Also, which menus do not get expanded - only sub-menus or also top-level-menus?

opear 9.62, Mac osx 10.4.11, latest Administration menu version

I'm betting it's with all the Opera verisions, same goes for the latest 10 beta.

I am running Opera 9.63 on Ubuntu and it does have correct hover behavior over submenus.

Tested on Opera/9.63 (Windows NT 5.1; U; de) Presto/2.1.1, all menus appear fine, even with JavaScript disabled.

Maybe a Mac-only issue?

Just tested in Opera 9.24 with Drupal 5.12 and Administration Menu 5.x-2.6 and it works fine it also works well on the same Opera version with Drupal 6.6 and Administration Menu 6.x-1.1. Will report back once I upgrade my browser and Drupal installations on those test sites. It works on both cases with JavaScript disabled btw.

I upgraded Opera to 9.63 and Drupal 5 Admin Menu works fine, but in my Drupal 6 site, I couldn't select any of the submenus, they appear when you hover over the main menu like Site Building and Site Configurartion, but when you try to select any seubmenu the dropdown disappears, weird.

Hm. I had a similar experience when JavaScript was disabled. However, even with disabled JavaScript the issue was magically resolved after (hard) reloading the page.

Could you try whether the patch in http://drupal.org/node/226012#comment-1147844 (but only the patch in the linked comment #10!) might change something?

Hey just to let you know I found out why the submenus were not visible. In Opera preferences web pages, when "fit to width" is checked the submenus are not visible, just uncheck and it becomes visible.

In Opera browser preferences under "web pages" there's an option to fit to width, if selected, the admin menu submenus do not appear but when unselected its ok.
