I have successfully customized all the activities on 'admin/settings/activity' except for "Messages visible to the "Parent node author" role" sections. It simpy does not take any updates.

Can you try the attached patch? It _should_ just be the case
that for the roles that have spaces in the name, switching
the spaces for underscore fixes the issue.
