The submitted by setting is ignored. The submitted by info is always showed. Had to manually hyde it by directly editing the PHP

Where are you trying to changing the "submitted by" setting?
You're tagging this bug report as theme version 6.x-1.1 - this is an older release. Have you tried the newest release?

Jim@drupal.be CreditAttribution: Jim@drupal.be commentedI searched the theme files and found the part where the "submitted by" option is conditionally printed and erased that peace of code.
I've made some heavy changes on the css of this theme so it would fit my needs better. Updating the theme for this 'little' error is a small price to pay.
To awnser your question I've quickly installed the latest version of this theme on a test-site and made the following conclusion:
Maybe there should be a overview of wich global settings don't affect this theme.
