I am looking into some of the issues right now -- could you fill me in?

I will come back to this during the week... Not sure I have much to give..

Status: Active » Closed (won't fix)

We are going a different way with this module so this issue is moot.

niccolox’s picture

what direction? is it apachesolr only?

cilefen’s picture

Actually, it is the opposite, from now on this is just specialized for Nutch-crawled indexes. It won't be practical to ever combine this with apachesolr_multisite so it makes the most sense to keep it separate and specialized for Nutch.

ok

but you are open to Search API integration generally?

also, are you saying that it won't be possible to have a site with a Nutch Solr index + a Drupal Solr index? if so, why?

cilefen’s picture

I am open to anything. Have you tried Sarnia?

cilefen’s picture

Or this http://drupal.org/project/search_api_solr ?

This project at this stage is a simple search interface; the results will display on their own tab of the general search page.

Wow--I can't even get Sarnia to work at all. Ok, I will see what I can do about the search API, but it isn't really necessary for basic searching, which this module now does.

niccolox’s picture

I haven't done much advocacy within the Search API space for support of Nutch Solr, perhaps there will be support from that direction for Nutch Solr Search API integration

was just starting to run Nutch 1.6 jobs in Hadoop again (4 nodes, 50 threads, 16 cores, 100GB RAM)
