I created resp_img and want to follow if/when a Drupal 7 version is created, maybe we can join forces and combine both projects?

Yeah, sounds like an interesting idea.

This was created for a very specific use case where a drupal 6 site using imagecache had to support a new responsive design without having to change much of its configuration. So not sure how well that fits in with resp_img.

Either way, I wasn't really planning on doing a Drupal 7 version unless there's a lot of demand. In that case I do want to look into joining forces though, looks like I would be duplicating a lot of what resp_img already does.
