What are thoughts for D7? While in D6, since taxonomy terms aren't fieldable, it was necessary to provide a custom data storage solution. Presumably for D7 data storage will be in a field. Thoughts on what solution to use? Maybe the Geo project's field?

Subscribing - it would be awesome if there is an upgrade path to D7 where the custom data storage can be converted into a field on the taxonomy term.

@klonos the OpenLayers project page should also be updated if Geofield is is replacing the need for Geo Taxonomy in D7.
