Hi,

I have to start uploading images and I have to choose an advanced module as acidfree or use a more integrated with other modules as Image.module + Galleries and other modules....

Whta do you think about?

I probably need to double check this but don't you need image.module for acidfree anyway?

i really like acidfree and it's the most serious gallery out there for drupal (one that's *quite* fully integrated in Drupal, that is)

but decided not to go with it. I did not like that you could not differentiate between galleries and pictures, between pictures and videos etc.. All of them was just "acidfree media", and hence you could not really tailor your searches.

Huh? Can't you just use the taxonomy module to categorize your content?

I've tried pretty much all of the image gallery options... started with the simplest first (image_gallery.module). Acid free didn't work well on my install, too buggy. I recommend Gallery2 though. It was the last one I tried and clearly the best. It produces professional looking galleries with various themes available, and users can easily upload pictures and make albums etc. But mainly it just works with no hassles and the built-in themes and admin panel is excellent.
