I have followed the INSTALL instructions, but its not works

I have made the experience, that both the standard news aggregator and import module are very picky about RSS-Feeds and their standard compliance or lack of. I've tried a while ago the import module v. 4.4.0, and it never showed up all the feeds I wanted to. So I dropped back to the standard aggregator, but patched it (disabled the check somewhere in it where there is a function call with valid_input_data). This works better for me than import, at least it's able to import all the feeds I want to read. Import was not able to do it. Perhaps it's a problem with your character encodings, there were issues around here with encoding conversion.
