To be on safe side, use the translation module (LOCALE.module), not editing user.module itself.
I did it, but found that editing an $edit thingy will cause the form to malfunction.
Submit, Delete, Create new, etc .... must not be changed - so if you intend to translate to other language, or change the words, use the translation module
login tobaggon help
I posted at this node 91937, but I see this was somewhat brought up awhile back in this post, but I'm not understanding what to edit in the files.
I'm trying to get something like this site: http://blogher.org. It's a drupal site by Pingvision. When logged out it simply shows "Welcome", when logged in it displays "Hi, username" and some blah, blah stuff. I did try the custom login message for tobaggon, but that seems to be only for login, not logged in. It put Hi UNDER the username. I did dig a little in the module folder, but there was just a bit too much stuff for me to fiddle with without knowing what I'm doing. I'd also like to change register to "join" if possible. Any suggestions? Current status of my site is now http://lifeonilife.com
Thanks again for any help. It simply amazes me that this site is so active and helpful.
