I recently upgraded from 4.6 to 4.7.2 (very clean, thank you for the upgrade video!!!!) and since doing so I've noticed my Polls which ran fine in 4.6 now allow sporadic multiple voting when it should not (did not in the past).

Example:
- I logged in and created the poll, then voted once.
- The vote returned me to the page to vote again, so I did. Then I got the results page.
- I logged out, and now the results page was the Vote page, so I voted again!
- I had now voted 3 times in one browser session from the same IP address.
- And over the next four days I was able to vote 5-6 more times from the same machine.
- I cannot always vote, the ability appears to come and go.
- I repeated the above steps from my workplace computer, voting three times now in one session today.

I checked permissions for the poll and I have the ability for all users to vote same as with 4.6.

Any ideas?? Help!

Anyone? I've turned all permissions for Polls off and back on, and still have the issue where Polls allow multiple repeated voting from same machine / IP. Worked fine with 4.6, issue only appeared after upgrading to 4.7.

The issue is to the point where if I arrive at the site as a guest and I am able to vote (despite having voted several times already), then I log in and I'm still able to vote, then I browse around a bit and suddenly I'm seeing Poll results instead of the vote view. If I visit later in the day I may or may not be able to vote again and may be able to vote as guest and again when logged in.

When you update a poll, the users who already voted are reset.

You can "fix" this by commentig this line

//  db_query('DELETE FROM {poll_votes} WHERE nid = %d', $node->nid);

in function poll_update in poll.module
