Hi all!
Is there any tool available for drupal that can import LaTeX documents as a Book for Drupal?

What's The LaTeX
Is the LaTeX anything special? Math? If so, you want to use this. There is also Writer2LaTeX which will convert things in to XHTML documents, which you can add as nodes. I don't know of a module that automates this. I could, however, tie in nicely with content conversion architecture which would than include this feature request about books and XML. I think if every node was created as valid XML, a lot of modules could be used to offer the same content in numerous formats, all created on the fly. Math, for example, could be offered in XHTML 1.1 + MathML, or XHTML + CSS, or as a LaTeX document, and from that, even a PDF could be gereated. All from the same source.
Sorry I went off on a tangent. No, there isn't a module which will add multiple book pages. You'll have to convert the LaTeX documents seperatly, than create book nodes. This can be automated with node_import, though I think it will need some changes to deal with the entire heirarchy thing that books offer. CSV the XHMTL from the Writer2LaTeX output and you might have something. Of course, if you only have 2LaTeX documents, all that work doesn't make sense. If you do come up with something, please share it here.
latex2html
Thanks for the extensive reply Brian. To bad there is nothing to convert LaTeX documents to a drupal book. I used to use phpnuke and to get my books online and I had to use latex2html and then paste the content on the site. A very bad experience! I think in the worst case, I will be doing that with Drupal also.
I don't have the time to study Drupal extensively at this moment and try implementing an automated system myself at the moment, but it might happen at some point.
