How far apart was the release from Drupal 4.5 to 4.6 and Drupal 4.6 to 4.7?
Is there a pattern? For instance: a new release every 12 months, or is it just random, as it is being devloped?

A new version of drupal is released when the developers deem it to be good enough.. there is no formal release schedule.. but there is a planned moment where a release will be prepared around september 2006, from that time until the next release no new functions should be added to the CVS version, and the developers will focus on making the existing code as stable and pretty as possible.

the next release will probably be drupal 4.8 (the version number has not been decided yet) and it will be somewhere after september 2006
