I have been installing a lot of modules on my site today, creating an events page and following the SEO checklist module recommendations. I started having some issues with links in admin disappearing or I would click on a link and instead of loading the requested page my current page would just reload. I started clearing my cache using /admin/settings/performance and that would fix the issue. I just installed the advanced help module and about 75% of the links disappeared from /admin, including /admin/settings/performance! Is there some way to clear the cache without being able to access the performance page? I have tried to access the page directly HTTP://www.mysite.com/admin/settings/performance with no luck. I did a search for this issue on these forums and could not find any help. If it is on the forum and I missed it I apologize in advance. Anyone have any ideas?

Access the db with a db tool like phpmyadmin and empty (not delete) all the cache* tables.

Hi,

Sorry to hijack this post slightly but I'm having some similar issues... Really not good!

I'm having the same problem with not being able to clear the cache... And although I can physically clear the cache, I am now unable to see the content on admin/settings/performance. Likewise I cannot access any user information (users, roles, permissions)... Here is a screenshot of my admin screen, logged in as admin, with very few links (For some reason there is no place to upload the screenshot on here) - http://i48.tinypic.com/2utsp03.jpg

This seems to have happened when clearing the cache initially... The webpage loaded for a good 5 minutes and then redirected to a 500 Internal Server Error page. I am guessing something went wrong with the server where it didn't finish clearing the cache? I took a backup of the database and transferred it to my local but am still unable to clear the cache/access any links.

Anyone have ANY ideas? This is happening to a client who aren't best pleased, so any help is much appreciated!!

UPDATE: Turns out that I was right in some respects but not entirely sure why it was fixed... But accessing update.php running an update seemed to fix things... Perhaps it clears the cache somewhere in there?

Anyway thought I'd let you guys know, in case anyone is experiencing/has experienced similar issues.

Thanks :)
