The Future of Aegir 3 is Bryght!

Omega8.cc is now the lead developer team for Aegir 3 running on BOA (Barracuda-Octopus-Aegir stack). We want to thank all past contributors who brought Aegir to life – your work makes today’s progress possible. Because of you, there is still a Bryght Future for Aegir.
Here is what to expect:
- Active maintenance and development: Aegir 3 on BOA is alive and under active development. See Adam’s comments here.
- Migration made easier: We are working to make it simple to migrate entire legacy Aegir instances (Apache or Nginx) into self-hosted BOA as Octopus Aegir.
- Standalone Aegir with BOA features: We are doing our best to enable many BOA-derived features within Aegir standalone, so users can pick their flavour without adopting the full BOA stack.
- Modern compatibility: The BOA-based fork already supports Drupal 11 and PHP 8.4, using vanilla Drush 13 for site installs and updates while still relying on forked and improved Drush 8 for daily operations.
Development of BOA stack all components continues on GitHub.
At the same time, we want to keep leveraging the Drupal.org issue queues so the community effort continues here, and all BOA improvements can be systematically backported.
Aegir is still very much alive, and together we can keep its Bryght Future shining!

In Norse mythology, Eldir (Old Norse "fire-stoker") is a servant of Ægir.
Eldir is a theme designed for use with the Ægir Hosting System. It is a minimal (nearly CSS-only) theme that focuses on components provided by the Hosting module and a clean administrative UI.
Note: the 1.x version of the theme is shipped directly with the hostmaster install profile for historical reasons. Only the 3.x version is developed here. See #1468874: Split Eldir back out to a stand-alone project for more details.
