Displaying Blocks.. Can Drupal accomplish it

Hi

I am looking at Xaraya and Drupal

Whereas i have found that Xaraya can do a lot.

I want to know if Drupal can do the following.

1). Display Small Blocks which should be arranged in any order in the website.
For e.g. left column, right column, Center and inside the main Center Block i need (Center - Center ) , (Center - Left) and (Center -Right ) etc. etc.

2). Display any content from any module in those Blocks.
For e.g. I need to display the Content of Category " Computers" into the Block which is in the Center - Left of the main Center Block.
