Hi, I have tried to add a new contributor role on this page https://www.drupal.org/node/add/contributor-role for "DrupalCon Steering Committee Chair" but I am getting an error when trying to submit the role.

For folks coming in from search, the error is "Role approval required field is required".

@drumm advised, on Slack:

We added that admin-only field but didn’t think to check that it defaulted to something for non-admins
