Problem/Motivation

The mimemail module continues to be relevant to the Drupal community. Over 20,000 sites use the 8.x-1.x version, per https://www.drupal.org/project/usage/mimemail .

As indicated in multiple issues (#3504194: Plan for 2.x release?, #3489250: plan for Drupal 11 release?), the module creator is seeking community support for this project. I therefore volunteer myself to be a new co-maintainer.

I currently am maintainer on 26 projects (https://www.drupal.org/u/mark_fullmer) and continue to be active in the Drupal community, as shown by issue credits during the past year (https://www.drupal.org/u/mark_fullmer/issue-credits?field_issue_last_sta...).

Based on comments in issues referenced above, I understand the community and creator's priorities for this module to be:

1. Add test coverage in order to provide a stable release
2. Triage and resolve the issues marked as "Critical": https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/mimemail?text=&status=Open&priorit...
3. Provide a Drupal 11-compatible release.

I appreciate the maintainer's consideration for co-maintainership.

58,662 sites report using this module.
I assume that mimemail blocks a lot of upgrades to Drupal 11.
+1 for adding a co-maintainer.

Any updates on this?

Project: Mime Mail » Drupal.org project ownership
Version: 2.0.x-dev »
Component: Miscellaneous » Maintaining offer

Per https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/managing-a-drupalorg-theme-module-or... , this issue has remained in the project issue queue for more than 14 days without a response from the maintainer.

The maintainer responded to the community need in https://www.drupal.org/project/mimemail/issues/3504194#comment-16111148 , suggesting openness to co-maintainership, but has not communicated since 16 May 2025.

I am therefore transferring this issue to "Drupal.org project ownership."

The only person who has the Administer maintainers permission is tr, who logged in at least once in the past six month. I am going to contact him.

Hello Tim,

I am contacting you because Mark (https://www.drupal.org/u/mark_fullmer) offered to become co-maintainer for Mime Mail (https://www.drupal.org/project/mimemail), a project for which you are project owner and maintainer.

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3524942 about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Mark will be probably made co-maintainer.

Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

As last note: This offer is about being co-maintainer, which is different from being a maintainer. A co-maintainer is a person who does not have all the drupal.org permissions on a project. Even though being co-maintainers could mean having just a single permission, we expect a co-maintainer to have the following permissions on the project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Maintain issues, Administer releases.
If there is any reason for not giving all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3524942. We need this to know it was intentional and not a misunderstanding on what the offer required.

Best regards,
Alberto Paderno

As it has been more than 14 days, I am posting a comment to indicate that I am still interested in maintaining this project. Thanks!
