Motivation

We are using the Video Embed Field module on several of our older Drupal web sites that we want to migrate to Drupal 11.

This module has not been updated for months and quite a few issues could be easily fixed, lots of MR are waiting to be merged.

Proposed resolution

We (Bordeaux Metropole developers) volunteer to maintain the module and pledge to do a Drupal 11 release as soon as possible.

You can check my profile here with all the modules I am currently maintaining.

Remaining tasks

Add me as a new maintainer for this module.

If current maintainers are not around anymore we will follow the procedure described here https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/managing-a-drupalorg-theme-module-or...
to get the module updated.

Status

@jec006, @plopesc and @sam152 have been contacted via their contact form on September 21th 2024.

@abhinesh doesn't have a contact form available on Drupal.org.

Only jec006 and plopesc can administer maintainers/co-maintainers. Only one of them logged in at least once in the past two years.

I am contacting you because Frank (https://www.drupal.org/u/mably) offered to become maintainer for Video Embed Field (https://www.drupal.org/project/video_embed_field), a project for which you are maintainer.

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3475961 about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Frank will be probably made maintainer.

Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which for us means somebody with all the drupal.org permissions on the project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.
If there is any reason for not giving Frank all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3475961.
