visually the list view is closer to a card view than it is to for example to /admin/modules . it is just a single column card view no matter how wide the viewport is (and on a widescreen monitor if you read the short description which is ~200 characters long then for some folks it might be challenging to jump back to the next line even though the “anchor” the tag chips is easier to catch - but still it is a long jump for the eye) . so the only real difference to a card view is that the logo is aligned to the left of the card instead on top of the module title. therefore the list cards have a little bit less of a vertical extent. for a list view instead, me as a user, would expect something way more compact. so i would get more projects above the fold?and i’ve taken a quick look into the drupalpod install on the project_browser page cuz i am in the course of preparing for a clean install of my operating system over here. and one detail i’ve noticed. the list view shows active installs while the grid view shows just installs? that is different information or better a different label for the two views? |

I think having a choice of views may be helpful to some people.I wonder if the information displayed on each should be exactly the same, or a little bit more varied?I could see an argument for list showing a more minimal view, perhaps listing more modules. |

Also, this may not be directly related to the question, but since you mention accessibility, I think keyboard navigation could benefit from some consideration. Loading the page and pressing "tab" reveals the "skip to content" link. Pressing "Enter" takes you to the category list, and I don't think there's an easy way of skipping past that with the keyboard, so you just have to tab through all the category checkboxes to get to the items.Second when you tab on to the "Grid" and "List" buttons, there's no visual indication of the focus, though pressing enter activates them.I also noticed that tabbing through the list of items requires two tabs for each item. Tab takes you onto the project title, then on to the "Add and Install" button. If the module is already installed, the focus disappears (presumably on the "Installed" label) and reappears on the title on tabbing again. |

in regards of navigation there is already #3316357: Add landmark roles to the Project Browser main page the only other thing that could be thought about that each of those sections also gets a dedicated headline. so the navigation could happen in the rotor for headings and landmarks. the two preferred ways in the screen reader |

Thanks! I haven't come across Landmarks. Have to look at how to access them in Firefox. |

I don't see an issue for the disappearing focus, so I'll open one. |
