2️⃣ We had a very productive week at DrupalCon Prague. Thanks to all who attended the Initiative keynote, the Session on What's new with the Project Browser, one of our four Bofs or contributed during the week or on Friday during the Contribution day. There was a lot of excitement and interest from new folks interested in this initiative. I have been sick since arriving home so have not had a chance to follow up on issues yet. Thanks also to @fjgarlin and @drumm from the Drupal Association for all their help last week on Project Browser (edited)

bsnodgrass (he/him) Oh NO!
bsnodgrass (he/him) Hope you are feeling better now!!
leslieg Not better, but negative for Covid so far
bsnodgrass (he/him) Good to hear that at least!! get lots of rest!
bsnodgrass (he/him) As I look through these items... I am listening to the Project Browser Where We're At: Wow - Data source plugins!! I totally glossed over that if I have even realized it was a thing! That will be awesome! (edited)
hestenet (he/him) I am glad you're testing negative, Leslie - take care!
fjgarlin I hope you feel better soon Leslie. It was so great to meet you in person at Prague!
saschaeggi Get well soon @leslieg :face_with_thermometer:
leslieg Thanks all

3️⃣ We had two Bofs on UX where folks reviewed the current Project Browser in Gitpod. We received a lot of great feedback and suggestions for improvements. You can find the link to test it out yourself at https://www.drupal.org/project/project_browser. Find the Try it now link. Create an issue with the title Listening Session - your first name and add your thoughts (or send me an email if you prefer glynn.leslie@gmail.com)

leslieg link for BoFs

4️⃣ My slides from the initiative keynote with links to help new folks out can be found at bit.ly/pbil22  I only has 6 minutes so it's a high level overview

leslieg Slides from keynote

5️⃣ we had a BoF on rethinking the Project Description page on Drupal.org. Again great attendance and feedback from folks newer to Drupal as well as current module maintainers. Add your thoughts to this issue #3230734: Improve project descriptions by using a template suggestion for the body field

bsnodgrass (he/him) Did I see a documentation page for maintainers about getting modules ready for project browser?
bsnodgrass (he/him) I assume that came out of BoF or contrib day
leslieg I saw that too, but need to find and review it
leslieg Getting maintainers involved is something I will be pushing more

6️⃣ We had a BOF on Improving the project categories. We decided, after getting some great feedback, to start with a small number of categories and see how the modules would fit. We anticipate needing a few more categories, but not the 55 we have now, Give feedback here follow this link => https://bit.ly/help-pb <= to provide some initial impressions about Drupal project categorization

bsnodgrass (he/him) Yay!!!

7️⃣ We made a lot of progress on the tickets to add logos, short descriptions and categories. We could really use help with folks reviewing those. For the logos we need help with verifying these requirements are met: logo  is 512x512 square dimension in PNG format without animations. Suggested file size should be 10k or less. Use a lossy image tool (such as pngquant) to reduce file size while keeping the image quality at around 80%. (edited)

leslieg kanban progress

Designers or front-end folks - here's a way to contribute that doesn't take a lot of time

Go to https://contribkanban.com/board/ProjectBrowserTop100 and look under Needs Review column for logo

contribkanban.comcontribkanban.com
ContribKanban
ContribKanban.com - turning Drupal.org issue queues into kanban boards to better Drupalkind

8️⃣ for reviewing the project descriptions that were proposed, would folks be interested in a 1-hour real time call to review as a group?  If not folks can review them here: https://contribkanban.com/board/ProjectBrowserTop100 and look under Needs Review column for short description

leslieg Let me know if there is interest

The short descriptions: should answer the question - what does this module do in a non-technical way and should be 255 characters or less

9️⃣ anything else folks want to discuss today?

saschaeggi Is there an ETA to support themes?
