I installed ImageAPI 5.x-1.2, ImageCache 5.x-2.2, ImageField 5.x-2.1. I created Preset thumnail with Scale action. A folder thumnail was created in files/imagecache/thumnail but It did'nt have any image files in thumnail folder when I submit a CCK node type.
What i can do to correct it? Thanks.

Does apache have write permissions to your./thumnail directory?

out of curiousity, where is the .thumbnail dir?

ImageCache creates a directory for each defined preset. These are created in the imagecache directory of your sites files directory, eg:

+-path_to_your_sites_files
   +-imagecache
      +-thumbnail
      +-preset_foo
      +-preset_bar
      +-preset_baz

In order for ImageCache to function the web server (Apache) needs read and write permissions to this file tree.

This is my folder structure:
+ -files --> permission 777
++ -image_field --> folder created automatic by imagefield module. Perm. 775
+++ -xxx.jpg --> image uploaded by imagefield module
++ -imagecache --> folder created automatic by imagecache module. Perm. 775
+++ -thumnail --> folder created automatic by imagecache module when created Presset. Perm. 755
++++ -image_field --> folder created automatic by imagecache. Perm. 755
+++++ -No image created in this folder.

* Perm. of folders: image_field, imagecache, thumnail,image_field was set automatic by moudles, I tryed change it to 777 but it got a permission denied error. But folders created manually I can change its permission.

I did exactly this tutorial: http://drupal.org/node/163561 but it not work.

What are the ownership parameters on the directories that ImageCache is creating, and of its parent directory?
