Create a logo that is 512x512 square dimension in PNG format without animations. Suggested file size should be 10k or less. Use a lossy image tool (such as pngquant) to reduce file size while keeping the image quality at around 80%.

MAINTAINERS: The logo should be added to the root folder of the repo, and be named logo.png. This must be present on your project’s default branch. If you have a logo as the first image in the Images field on your project page, please remove it. The logo will be displayed on the cards in the Project Browser grid and list views.

As mentioned in #3280976: Google TagManager Project - Update Logo, I am not sure of any copyright or license issues ... but the same logo is used on the Drupal module page.

This is the guideline of the ASF trademark, it covers the Apache Solr (https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/list/)

@ressa, concerning the possibility of dark admin theme, the logo file may need a white background. And according the the Solr styleguide, it is suggested to have spaces when positioning in a box. See page 4 in https://solr.apache.org/theme/images/identity/Solr_Styleguide.pdf

I have placed the logo centered horizontally and vertically with spacing, and added white background, as recommended in the style guide.

The positioning looks much better, as does the white background. Dimensions are correct, and file size is good, so all looks good to me for #6.

Agree with RTBC, someday when there's a Search API logo - it might be nice to combine them, but this is good for a first iteration. We can always leverage the short description to say something like "Depends on Search API module." 👍
