Offering to maintain Media Gallery

The issue needs to first opened in the project queue. After 14 days without a reply, it can be moved on the other issue queue.

The title is Offering to maintain even in the case a user is offering to become the new project owner. (Taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects / Becoming owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer of a project.)

ivnish, if you look at the project page for this issue queue: Drupal.org project ownership, on the top there is a box that says:

To avoid having ownership transfer request delayed or derailed, please read Taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects.

The linked page then describes exactly what you have to do to get an ownership transfer executed.

Under the heading "Becoming owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer of a project", there are six recitals. Recital #2 and #3 says:

2. If enabled, use the Contact tab on the owner profile page to contact the project owner, asking to post a comment on the issue you posted. […]

3. Put a record of the attempts to make contact in the issue summary, spelling out who, when and how. This information is helpful when site moderators decide whether to act immediately, or making further attempt to contact the maintainers.

JacobSingh is the current owner. The Contact tab on his Drupal. org profile page is enabled.

There is no information in the issue summary about you having completed this step. I believe missing out on completing this step is what may be blocking or delaying this issue.

However, since site modertor apaderno has already started processing this issue, he may have other reasons for delaying it. If he has, it would be nice to see a comment about it here.

I looks like you have three more requests for ownership transfer stalled. It may be a good idea to complete this step for Comment Limit as well (the other two has owners with their Contact tab disabled)
