Claro general status update
➤ The goal is to have Claro as the default admin theme for D10, deprecating Seven.
➤ Beta requirements need to be ready by mid-May, so we should get rid of the remaining Claro stable blockers before that so we have time to finish the needed steps to deprecate Seven.
➤ The most recent status update is that Claro is stable and is now installed by default by Umami and Standard

@lauriii there’s still work to do to improve the admin UI, specially if we want to improve Claro. Maybe that’s a reason to keep the meetings? :slightly_smiling_face:

Other than that, we decided at the Claro BoF at DrupalCon that we are not going to require a refreshed installer / update.php for Claro. This means that we could also start working on removing Seven from core

Is this because the installer has it's own copies of assets separate from seven?

Seven is responsible for providing the styles for the installer but we will likely just copy and paste those from Seven. The decision was more based on the fact that we thought it would be more valuable to get Claro to the hands of people than to wait for the installer to be refreshed

Also, if someone is interested in the installer redesign, IMHO it would be really nice to see, despite it not blocking Claro :slightly_smiling_face: I don’t think it needs to be a big redesign, but touching it up to be flowing seamlessly into Claro would be a great way to signal the new-ness of Drupal 10 out of the gate :slightly_smiling_face:
