When did EU happen? |

4 Oct 2021 |

Has there been progress on getting modules to download and install directly from the interface? |
| chrisfromredfin |
There is some work in progress on that front |
| chrisfromredfin |
we also re-worked the card view |
| chrisfromredfin |
we built/are building infrastructure to support a mock drupal 9 api endpoint |
| mandclu |
Does the PB default to showing results from the curated list of modules yet? |
| chrisfromredfin |
as close as we can get to that given the restrictions of the current API, yes. |
| chrisfromredfin |
so for EU it was likely just showing modules that existed, now it is only showing modules compatible with this version of Drupal, ex.g. |

We got the Discover Drupal participants involved with the Initiative. They have added issues, participated in Listening Sessions and are currently working on a few open issues. |

There is some work in progress on that front (getting modules to download and install directly from the interface)Any thoughts on how far away this might be from being something we could show? That would be a powerful difference if we could include it |
| leslieg |
When do you plan to record this @mandclu? I can give you a better update on the Site builder subcommittee work before that. There are a few things we are in the process of that I would like to include |

re: auto-download - got picked up in november, worked on a little, then dropped. no one has revisited. |
| mandclu |
Is this the right issue? #3245770: Create a service to composer install via package_manager from Automatic Updates |
| mandclu |
@leslieg I'm not 100% sure how soon it's needed, but I should probably aim to have a first draft two weeks weeks before DrupalCon, at the latest |
| mandclu |
So that still leaves us some time to make progress. Even if that wasn't 100% ready to commit (e.g. some tests not passing yet) but functionally allowed us to tell the story, that would be amazing (edited) |

@mandclu what is this for by the way? We were told there's no initiative keynote at Portland. However, Leslie & I are working on a 5 minute pecha-kucha for dev days. |

I was asked about making a video to go in the Driesnote |
| chrisfromredfin |
aha, got it. thanks! |
