Griffyn Heels	2022 is going well, La Nina has meant lots of rain for Sydney this summer. But otherwise having a nice time.

Kristen Pol (she/her)	Echoing lendude... so tired of lockdown life... it's a very privileged thing to say, I know, but I just want to be able to travel and be out in the world again... the omicron numbers have stalled here so we have more waiting
dww	Mostly good, but life is life so there's always something else to balance it. Ups and downs. But overall, can't believe how lucky I am, and try to be profoundly grateful every day.

Kristen Pol (she/her)	The last couple weeks, I've been mentoring others contributions which has been nice
dww	Mostly D10 related wins these days, not as many #bugsmash things. But we managed to get #3150294: New translations for moderated nodes are not created in the initial workflow state approved by the UX team, and thanks to @Sam152 for RTBC'ing that beast.

lendude	Yeah we are slowing a bit. I’m planning to do a lot of Bug Bingo triage sessions at Drupal Dev Days in April, so hopefully we can pick up some pace then!
dww	I think the rush of #d10readiness is partly "to blame". At least that's been the dynamic for me personally, and I imagine the same is true for other folks.
dww	This is a particularly busy time in the ebb/flow of core, brand new branch for a new major, furiously removing deprecated code, trying to remove modules, etc.

dww	I was going to link #2998451: Toolbar tray rendering can result "flickering" resizing of content area to accommodate open trays (major target). But probably that shouldn't go here...
dww	Meanwhile, I completely failed to have time to address my own feedback on #1894286: System updates are executed without priority I'd still like to circle back to that previous critical target if I ever get a chance.

Julia Topliss	@Griffyn Heels I am here to help out. I have been working on Drupal since 2007, but have not had much contact with the community until now. I want to get more involved. I am not a dev, but no my way around Drupal 7 -> 9 very well. Can you guide me on how I can help out?
Griffyn Heels	Welcome, nice to meet you. I think a good place to start is the D.O Bugsmash Initiative page
Griffyn Heels	It has a fairly comprehensive summary of the initiative and what our goal is.

Julia Topliss	@Griffyn Heels so a question I have is this - is it more useful to the core to focus on D9 bugs or does D7 still have a space?
Julia Topliss	I can see bugsmash is focusing on D8.9 and above - so that answers the question I guess

Kristen Pol (she/her)	@Julia Topliss I have a suggestion as a non-dev that may already be covered in the previous chats. Manual testing is very important and sometimes the "Needs manual testing" tag is added but not always. So, one option is to look for "Needs review" issues. One way to help narrow things down into things that are usually more visual for testing is to choose things like "Claro theme", "Olivero theme", layout_builder.module, etc. If you sort the results by last updated, these will be obviously be the most active issues which is one approach. Another approach is to go the opposite direction and try to find things that have gone dormant or have less eyes. For example, you can sort by the least amount of followers to find less known issues. Oh, and since this bugsmash, choose "Bug report" of course :)
