Feeds Tamper plugin to import taxonomy terms with hierarchy support. It creates the taxonomy terms if they don't already exist, respecting the term hierarchy.
In your CSV column, the taxonomy term data can be in this format: "Term1 > Term 2 > Term 3". The "Term 3" would be set to the corresponding taxonomy term reference. "Term 1", "Term 2" and "Term 3" would be created if they didn't already exist.
You can combine this tamper plugin with the existing "Explode" plugin if you have multiple taxonomy terms to be assigned to the same field.
How to use the module:
- Install the module as usual
- Add the Taxonomy term field reference to your feeds mapping
- THIS STEP IS CRITICAL: Choose the option "Reference by: Term ID"
- In the Tamper tab, add the "Import Taxonomy Terms Hierarchy" plugin to the same field
- Choose the right delimiter and Vocabulary
- Import the feed as usual
