Problem/Motivation
This module is currently marked as seeking a new owner. I would like to volunteer to take over ownership of the Menus attribute module. There are several RTBC issues ready to merge including one that I submitted. I see that there are currently a couple of outstanding maintainer requests, however, those requests (#3180824: Offering to maintain Menus attribute and #3099522: Offering to maintain Menus attribute) were issued one year ago and 2 months ago, respectively. I commented on the most recent one to see if the requester is still interested. I also attempted to contact the module owner but do not see a contact method on the users profile.
As far as experience, I currently own (via Bounteous) the TB Megamenu module. My team has made tons of progress on an abandoned module in less than a year. See https://www.drupal.org/project/tb_megamenu. I have also submitted a bug fix to this module that is currently in RTBC status. I frequently use this module and would like to get issues fixed and update it so that it is D9 compatible.
If no response is given after two weeks, I will forward this on to the Drupal.org project ownership to proceed in the next step for requesting ownership.
Update 2/4/2021
Moving this to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue. After attempting but not able to reach the module maintainer / owner and others who requested the same have not responded to their own requests. This module is marked as seeker new ownership. I am still interested in taking over and maintaining this project.
Update 2/5/2021
I do not currently have the vetted role but have currently applied for it via TB Mega Menu Module. I have also attempted to contact Alok Narwaria but was unable to contact Vishnu Soni.

gisleWade Stewart,
thank you for offering to help out maintaining this!
In addition to pankaj malhotra, the project has one additional maintainer that can be contacted to be added as a maintainer. You may consider reaching out to Alok Narwaria as well.
However, the procedure for Taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects says:
That information is missing in the issue summary. Postponing until it has been added.
If you do not have this permission, you may want to read: Apply for permission to opt into security advisory coverage.

avpadernothemodularlab applied to get the vetted role in #3195194: [D8] The Better Mega Menu.

avpadernoSince the request is to become the new project owner, it's the current project owner that should accept the request. The other users with the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers could eventually add themodularlab as maintainer/co-maintainer.
I sent a message to the current project owner.

avpaderno(I am setting the status to Postponed, as we are waiting for the project owner to reply.)
gisleShouldn't that be made contingent upon him getting the 'vetted' role?

themodularlabThanks @gisle and @kiamlaluno. I appreciate the quick responses. Apologies for missing the piece about needing the vetted role for this. I updated the issue summary to mention that I have applied for the vetted role via TB Mega Menu but that I am currently awaiting updates on that. I appreciate you reaching out to the owner on my behalf since I was unable to contact myself. I am more than okay if this process takes a little longer but hopeful it will eventually work out since the project is listed as looking for new owners to maintain.
Thanks!

themodularlabHi @gisle, it is possible to re-apply for module ownership? i was recently granted security policy coverage on the TB Mega menu module (https://www.drupal.org/project/tb_megamenu) that I currently own. No worries if not. Thanks.
gisleYes, it is possible to apply for ownership again.
Just make sure that you follow the procedure for Taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects to the letter.
Please note that the issue must stay for at least 14 days in the project's issue queue, and it will stay for at least another 14 days in the project issue queue before the site moderators will decide what to do. If the owner or one of maintainers post a comment to oppose the ownership change during these (at least) 28 days, no ownership change will happen.
