We at European Commission use Block permissions module extensively.

There are tickets that we have worked on and where maintainer's involvement is needed:

I've contacted Michiel Nugter on 15 Aug 2020 but he couldn't help me as he don't work on this module anymore. I can't contact Steven Buteneers or Jeffrey Bertoen because contact form is disabled on theirs pages. Request in Slack is left unanswered.

Therefore I would like to ask "maintainer" permission to put this module in order in this ticket.

sinn,
thank you for offering to help out maintaining this!

One of the maintainers, Jeffrey Bertoen, has been active on Drupal.org recently, and he now has his contact form enabled. He should be able to add you as a maintainer, As for the owner (Michiel Nugter) has the permission to add maintainers, and should also be able to add you, even if he longer works on the project.

If you don't have permission to opt into security coverage, you will not be added as maintainers by the site moderators, and your best bet is to be added by the owner or one of the maintainers. I've tried to contact both today.

However, please note that this project has opted into security coverage.

The for procedures for becoming a maintainer says:

When opening an issue for a project that has opted into security coverage, you must explicitly say in the issue summary if you have that permission. If you aren't sure about having that permission, write that in the issue summary.

That information is missing in the issue summary.

Postponed until the missing information has been added to the issue summary.

Yes, sinn has the vetted role. Also, user administrators can contact users even if they have their contact form disabled.

True, but there are not many user administrators around (but I know you are one).

kiamlaluno, if you have contacted Steven Buteneers, please add that information to the issue summary.

sinn,
since the project has active maintainers, and at least one of them has been contacted today, we're going to postpone this for 14 days to give the maintainers time to respond. Please set back to "Active" if there has been no response in 14 days.

Thanks guys. Will keep you posted.

I contacted Steven, since he logged in last week.

Hello Steven,

I am contacting you since you are one of the users who can add new maintainers for the Block permissions module (https://www.drupal.org/project/block_permissions).

May you add a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3192288 saying if you accept or decline the offer done by Evgenii (https://www.drupal.org/u/sinn) to be maintainer of the module?
Without any reply from one of the maintainers / project owner, Evgenii will be probably added as new maintainer.

Best regards,
kiamlaluno

Clearly, if the project owner answers before the project maintainers, and he declines the offer, we should respect his decision.

Since there haven't been replies, I added sinn as maintainer.
