Problem/Motivation
So my shared hosting wont update to MariaDB 10.3.7 so this effectively means I either have to open another reseller account (very expensive, I'm a site builder on a budget), or wait for them to update (unknown period) before I can start developing d9 sites (well, actually, I made a couple on my local machine before realising this requirement existed when I tried to upload them to my server.
On issue 3120124 it says "For people still stuck on 10.2, create a contrib driver" - where might this be? How might I get it to work?
Help/advice on my predicament appreciated!

daffie commentedHi @benjarlett: The database driver that you need is https://www.drupal.org/project/mysql56. The minimum version for MariaDB is 10.1. So that should work with your hosting. Could you report back with the result of using this database driver?
