Offering to maintain git_status

Greetings,

I have a need for a very basic module to display git status information on the Status Report, and your module fits the bill nicely (the other obvious choice is the gitinfo module, but it displays much more information than we currently need and the output can't conveniently be trimmed to suit).

I've already upgraded the module to Drupal 8 locally and I have plans for some further small improvements.

I'd be happy to join as co-maintainer or maintainer (or alternatively I can submit a patch against a new 8.x-1.x branch).
