This notice about Link checker is posted to comply with the procedures for Dealing with unsupported (abandoned) projects.
It is posted to inquire whether the project is still being maintained.
If there is no response within two weeks, this issue will be moved to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue with a recommendation that the project is officially marked as unsupported so that somebody else can step forward and take over maintainership.
The reason for asking this question is because all recent commits was done by hass, who no longer has access to this site.
I am unable to PM the current owner (hass) about this notice as his profile page is currently blocked (see related issue #3083289: Has this account been deleted?). Since the Community Working has declined to comment on the matter, there is no way of knowing whether the project maintainer shall ever be able to resume his duties.

jeroentSince this module is maintained by hass, who no longer has access to drupal.org and he was the only maintainer regarding https://www.drupal.org/project/linkchecker/maintainers.json and there wasn't an answer within 2 weeks, moving to the drupal.org project ownership issue queue.

c-logemannI recognized via the latest updates on this issue that Link Checker is now unsupported. So I filed an issue to take over maintainership: #3100338: Offering to maintain Link checker (linkchecker)

gisleA new maintainer has stepped forward. I've transferred ownership.

avpadernoThis issue was for marking the project abandoned, so the component is still the original one. We don't change the component value, when a user offer to become maintainer/co-maintainer of the project.

joseph.olstadCan you please transfer ownership again to me? Hass has not responded for an entire year to Drupal 9 compatibility patches. We really need linkchecker and composer just won't play ball until there's a new release cut.
I will cut a new release quickly. It's time to upgrade to Drupal 9 and this is one of the modules stopping us from moving forward.

gisleHass is not the maintainer of Link checker. The maintainer is Carsten Logemann.
As for ownership transfer, please note that the webmasters only take action when all pre-conditions described in procedures for Taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects are satsified. Looking at the parent issue #3187378: Maintainer is seeking for more active contributors (D7+D8/9) and additional responsible Co-Maintainers , it is posted here (this is to the wrong issue queue, you need to start out by posting in the project's own issue queue), and you have not yet sent a PM to the project's owner offering to maintain, nor have you waited 14 days after sending the PM.

avpadernoThe project owner added 12 months ago already answered in #3187378: Maintainer is seeking for more active contributors (D7+D8/9) and additional responsible Co-Maintainers . That is the issue to follow, now.
