owenbush commentedThanks. I'll take a look.

the_glitch commentedHere's a revised solution for adding Registration Close time options.
Currently event registration closes at the Start Time of each instance not leaving the option for event hosts to register people that may arrive to an event late. This limits the system so late arrivals can't actually be registered and is problematic if the system is being used for ticketing purposes.
This revised solution takes into consideration that the Registration Close time might need to be before the Start Time of an instance where the original solution didn't consider this.

owenbush commentedAttached is a patch to address the need to schedule the closing date/time of a schedule instance registration.
I made many, but not all, of the UI changes requested here, because not all actually worked out and made sense when used with Drupal states to show/hide different fields at different times.
WARNING: BACKUP YOUR DATABASE BEFORE RUNNING THIS UPDATE!
I have written a hook update which will need to be run (drush updb, or update.php) in order to apply the changes. The underlying field storage has changed, so this is actually a destructive task which cannot be undone. The module makes the best effort to convert previous data to new data and has been tested, but it is difficult to test every different scenario. So please backup your database prior to running the update, so should anything go wrong, you can revert back easily.

mrpauldriver commentedReviewed on simplytest.me - this a great improvement and certainly a feature I will be needing. Thank you both for working on this.
Thinking this issue should be tagged as a Registration module component.
Whilst improving the registration module (and still alpha), could I suggest that #3113980: Limit number of registrations allowed would be important functionality for some use cases.
